Artist's Comments
This is the Kokiri Emerald Charm, based off the ones in the Zelda games, I was commissioned to make for ~mekkouine-ke-peia.
The green gems are encased in clay, hand sculpted to have a faceted look, and painted in metallic gold acrylics. The whole piece is about one and a half inches tall. This was a bit of a challenge to make because I couldn't use my regular polymer clay, since the gems would melt in the baking process, so I had to use a different kind of clay, which actually turned out really nice, and I'd certainly use it again in the future for similar projects. It has gems on both sides, so the back looks pretty too, only it just don't have the little swirl because it lays nicer without it. I am really happy with this little guy, and I plan on making the other stones too, when I have some free time. Jewelry like this, as well as many other pieces can be commissioned by me.
