Pokemon - Pikachu Tail Stud Earringsby *YellerCrakka

This is a pair of Pikachu Tail Stud Earrings, based on the character from the Pokemon Series, I was commissioned to make for someone. You can also find them for sale here: [link]

The charms are completely handmade out of polymer clay with metal armature for added strength, painted with acrylics, and attached to sterling silver earring hardware. Each charm is about three quarters of an inch tall, just the right size to hang lightly off the lobe of the ear.

These earrings turned out adorable in my opinion and I was so happy to get the commission to make them, so often I just make regular Pokemon Charms for people, which is fine and everything, but I love making kind of weird things like this or my Snorlax Feet Earrings. I guess I just have a thing for deconstructing Pokemon. @_@

What kind of metal do you use for the earring stakes and necklace chains? I'm allergic to most metals so I just want to know.

By default I use silver plated base metal, which is not particularly hypoallergenic, but I also offer sterling silver for earrings and cording necklaces for those with metal allergies.
