Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess - Coral Earrings

This is a pair of Coral Earrings, based on the item from Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess that I was commissioned to make for someone.

The charms are handmade out of polymer clay with metal armature for added durability and hand painted with acrylics.  The earrings are approximately 1 and 1/2 inches in height, as you can see in the size comparison picture with my partner's hand.  They have accenting with premium acrylic gems in the centers and come attached to standard silver plated earring hardware.

These Coral Earrings were a little tricky to design mostly because they aren't literal, wearable earrings in the game, so I had to translate the fish hook design into something that can really be worn like an earring.  I decided to use drop posts so it's not a hook attached to another hook, but it still keeps that free dangling feel.  I also had to make them a bit thicker because durability is always a top priority for me, and when I make a charm for someone, I really want it to be useable.  For a first try, I think they turned out pretty well, but I might experiment with some other options in the future.
